The Okavango Delta NG32

NG32

NG32 is a large concession spanning 260,000 acres in size at the southern part of the Okavango Delta. This is a community operated concession and home to the Okavango Bushlife Academy.

NG32 features classical Okavango Delta flora and fauna. It is home to all of Africa’s iconic large mammals, including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo, and it harbors more than 400 species of birds.  Its flora ranges from papyrus swamps and palm-fringed islands to mopane woodlands and fields of wild sage. This mix makes it one of the most ecologically rich and varied concessions in the Delta.

It is uniquely located with its closest entrance gate at just an hours drive from Maun. The area is strictly governed by Okavango Kopano Mokoro Community Trust making it one of the most pristine concession areas in the entire Okavango Delta.

A living classroom

Our courses are offered in this vast, pristine, and unique wilderness area. Here, your classroom literally comes alive.

You will hear the cry of the African fish eagle, the grunts of hippos echoing through the waterways, and the distant roar of lions at night. Each day may bring encounters with elephants moving quietly through the woodlands, lechwe splashing across the floodplains, or cheetah scanning for prey on the open grasslands.

You will learn under the shade of jackalberry trees and sausage trees, with African fan palms and wild sage forming your natural lecture hall. This is the Okavango Delta in its most authentic form — a living, breathing classroom like no other. It’s a transformational experience.
